The ICM:2024 programme has been designed around our conference theme: Mindfulness in a Changing World. Over five days in Bangor, North Wales, UK, there will be a lineup of sessions centred around five key strands – spanning the latest mindfulness research, contemplative approaches, and innovative concepts.

About the Programme

Select a strand to find out more about the content, speakers and sessions available, or keep scrolling to view the full programme schedule, below.
The strands are:

Each strand begins with a keynote session from a rich range of speakers, including a virtual appearance from Jon Kabat-Zinn to close the main conference. After each keynote, you can choose to attend either: a related panel discussion, workshop, research presentations or guided practice, which will be held across various spaces in Bangor University’s Pontio Centre and Main Arts Building. Access to pre-conference workshops, all keynotes, and a choice of follow-on sessions are included in a 2.5-day conference pass.

To complete your experience, there will be a mindfulness retreat day led by Rhonda Magee and Catherine McGee, offering space for deeper reflection on insights gained from the conference. We are also excited to be able to offer pre and post-conference workshops on topics such as ‘MBSR For Our Times’, ‘Mindfulness for Future Generations’ and ‘Responding to the Climate Crisis’. Access to conference workshops, all keynotes and choice of follow on sessions, plus the retreat day and post-conference workshops are included in a full 5-day conference pass.

We aim to hold the conference in a way that creates an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere for all. Explore more about Accessibility.

Online access is available. Some sessions will be live streamed from Bangor and recorded. Sessions marked with * are in-person access only and will not be streamed online. View all ticket options, including online access.
